About VoteLens
Democratizing Indian election data through open, verified public records and non-partisan electoral analytics.
Our Mission
Elections in India represent the largest democratic exercise in human history. Every five years, nearly a billion citizens have the opportunity to determine the nation's governance. However, comprehensive, granular constituency data has historically remained fragmented across thousands of static PDFs, disparate state election portals, and dense gazette notifications.
VoteLens was created to change that. Our mission is to transform raw public statutory returns into fast, searchable, and structured open knowledge. We enable citizens, journalists, political researchers, and students to examine democratic trends with complete transparency.
Core Editorial Principles
- Strict Non-Partisanship: VoteLens is strictly neutral. We do not publish political opinion pieces, editorial endorsements, exit poll speculations, or sponsored candidate content. We present verified mathematical facts.
- Direct Statutory Sourcing: Every vote count, percentage, and winning margin is compiled directly from official statutory records published by the Election Commission of India (ECI), specifically Form 20 booth tallies and Form 21E certified returns.
- Constituency-Level Depth: Rather than limiting data to aggregate national seat counts, VoteLens provides full constituency drill-downs: polled votes by gender, victory margins, NOTA percentages, and deposit forfeiture thresholds.
- Open & Reproducible: Our statistical methodology and data sources are fully documented and open for public review on our Methodology & Data Sources page.
What We Cover
VoteLens continuously indexes historical, completed, and upcoming elections across India:
- National Parliamentary Elections: Full constituency breakdowns for the 18th Lok Sabha (2024) and 17th Lok Sabha (2019) across all 543 parliamentary seats.

- Election Calendar: Comprehensive schedules tracking expected polling dates, assembly tenures, and official ECI announcements through 2027, 2028, and 2029.
